Be The Visionary Behind Better Eye Care.
Our Mission
To preserve and advance quality eye care in Michigan through advocacy, education, and collaboration.
We work to support ophthalmologists in their mission to deliver ethical, evidence-based care while defending the standards that protect patient safety and professional excellence. Whether addressing scope-of-practice concerns, improving access to care, or promoting lifelong learning, our mission reflects a clear vision: healthy eyes for all.
Our Vision
A future where all Michigan residents have access to expert medical and surgical eye care.
MiSEPS envisions a healthcare environment where patients can trust that highly trained physicians are delivering their eye care not just for today, but for generations to come. Through strong partnerships, public engagement, and member empowerment, we are building a future that prioritizes sight, safety, and science.
MiEYEMD Our Trusted Resource for Eye Health in Michigan.
A public awareness initiative powered by the Michigan Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons (MiSEPS).
Designed to connect patients with accurate, physician-vetted eye health information, MiEYEMD champions the importance of seeing an ophthalmologist a medical doctor trained to diagnose and treat complex eye diseases.
Through education campaigns, community engagement, and digital resources, MiEYEMD helps Michiganders make informed decisions about their vision care. Whether it's understanding the warning signs of glaucoma or knowing when to see a specialist, MiEYEMD keeps your eye health in clear focus.
Because when it comes to your vision, experience matters.
“When it comes to your vision, trust isn’t optional, it’s essential. That’s why we turn to the experts who see more than just eyes; they see the whole patient.”
Who We Represent
MiSEPS is composed of board-certified ophthalmologists practicing throughout Michigan from community clinics to major health systems. Our members perform everything from routine exams to complex surgeries, treating conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and more.
We also collaborate with academic institutions, resident physicians, and subspecialty societies to ensure a strong pipeline of ophthalmic talent and innovation in Michigan.
Advocate. Educate. Donate.
When you give to MiSEPS, you’re helping protect more than just policy you’re protecting patients.
Your donation supports advocacy efforts that defend physician-led care, safeguard patient safety, and promote public awareness about the importance of seeing an ophthalmologist for medical eye conditions.
It also enables us to offer vital education, legislative outreach, and support for the next generation of eye physicians in Michigan.
Together, we can maintain Michigan’s eye care system as strong, ethical, and patient-centered.
